This contrasts with European trucks, which adopt a "cab over engine" design, or in other words, "the engine is under the cab." European truck drivers won't see the hood while driving because they sit directly under the engine.
In terms of features, European trucks have more comprehensive features than Japanese trucks. Many drivers say that driving a Japanese truck is easier than driving a European truck because they have too many features.
